기회에 대한 이야기를 할 때 있지요.

기회는 chance, opportunity이죠.

문장속에서 어떻게 기회를 쓰는 지

** do that은 생략하는 게 자연스러워요.

 

 

During my business trip, I really wanted to do some sight seeing  but I didn't get a chance to.

 

 

 

** get 대신에 have 를 쓸수도 있지만 get a chance 가  훨씬 자연스럽네요.

 

 

get  a chance to = get to 

a chance는 생략하고서 get to로 쓰고  "~할 기회" 의미로 사용함.

 

 

 get to + [ do something]

 

- I had some time left and I got to look around  and take some pictures.

 

 - Did you get to try some local food while you were there?

 

 

<내맘대로예문>

One of my aquaintance got more than 15 glasses. She has 3 glasses for each season.

She treats her glasses as  her clothes. 

In summer she would  wear  her glasses which look cool.  

Thanks to her,  I got to consider glasses  are not just glasses. They express  who I am like my shoes and my clothes I wear.
